Yes! It has been our experience, that good candidates for the Brazilian Blowout are anyone who has frizzy, damaged or processed hair. We have performed the treatment on every hair type (fine/course/frizzy/curly), as well as hair that has been permed, Japanese straightened and extensions. In doing so, we have found that with proper communication and a well-considered application, everyone can benefit from the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment.

Yes, you can. The hair will be left totally frizz-free, shiny, effortlessly manageable and with plenty of body and bounce. There will still be the option to wear hair curly or wavy and the freedom to blow dry hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time!

The Brazilian Blowout will last for 10-12 weeks if the Açai After-Care Maintenance product line is used. The Brazilian Blowout is a cumulative treatment, in that the more you receive it, the healthier the hair will be and the longer the result will last.

Yes. The Brazilian Blowout actually works best on chemically treated hair and helps to improve the hairs condition by fortifying each strand with essential amino acids. The Brazilian Blowout works great directly on top of a relaxer. Perform the relaxer first, Brazilian Blowout next, and then neutralize at the very end of both treatments. The Brazilian Blowout is great to perform when someone is trying to move away from having relaxers or Japanese straighteners. It puts movement back into the hair, allowing the hair to look its best.

No, your hair will not lose volume as a result of receiving the Brazilian Blowout. Your hair will maintain its natural volume and you will still receive great bend and memory when blow-drying and/or using a curling iron.

Yes, however, you must colour your hair prior to having the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment. If you get a Brazilian Blowout and wish to get a colour service at a later date, you will need to wait 2 weeks.

Most hair types are suitable although Afro-Caribbean hair may not be. It is advisable to have a consultation with the stylist performing the Yuko straightening beforehand. They will be able to tell you if the Yuko straightening system is suitable for your hair.

Generally yes it is. We recommend that if the hair is going to be coloured, it is done at least two weeks before or two weeks after the Yuko straightening is done. Highlighted hair may or may not be suitable. It is not suitable for bleached hair, try the Brazilian Blowout.  The condition of the hair will be assessed by a stylist before the Yuko straightening is done.

The average time between straightening treatments is 4 – 9 months. Hair texture and speed of growth amongst other factors will determine how often you should have your hair straightened.

This largely depends on the length and thickness of your hair but you should expect to be in the salon for around 4-7 hours.

After having YUKO straightening you will be able to ‘wash and go’. Once re-growth occurs you may find it necessary to style the new growth. You may also want to run straighteners through it quickly to achieve a super sleek finish.

For 48 hours after having the straightening done you should avoid doing anything with your hair that you would not want to remain there, e.g. crimps from rubber bands, clips and hats. You should not wash your hair for the first 48 hours after the YUKO straightening. You should not colour your hair for at least 2 weeks after having the straightening done.

We recommend the use of YUKO home care products. They have been designed for use after YUKO straightening to maintain the condition of your hair. You will be given full aftercare on your first visit.

At Synergy Hair and Beauty, Studley, prices start at £400. The final price is determined on consultation, taking into account the length and thickness of your hair. The final price depends on the density and length of your hair.
